Zionism

ree

When we open the Bible, we find that the story of humanity’s redemption has a very clear starting point: God’s covenant with Abraham. There, in the book of Genesis, the Lord made three foundational promises: a land, a people, and a descendant through whom all the families of the earth would be blessed. These promises were not ancient words locked in the past , they remain alive, sustaining the entire narrative of salvation to this day.

Israel is the central thread of this divine plan. The Promised Land is not just a piece of ground in the Middle East; it is the stage chosen by God to demonstrate his faithfulness. Within this promise, the Bible repeatedly speaks of Zion. Zion is not a metaphor or abstract symbol; it is a real, physical place, a mountain ridge surrounding Jerusalem. It is there that God chose to place his name, there that the prophets announced his presence, and there that Yeshua promised to return.

The movement of the Jewish people returning to that land is called Zionism, and far from being merely a political concept, it is first and foremost the fulfillment of a biblical calling. If Jesus Himself promised to return to Zion, that means, in essence, He is the greatest Zionist who ever lived, for he recognizes, affirms, and fulfills God’s sovereign choice of that land and that people.

This is why every war against Israel goes far beyond politics or geopolitics. At its core, it is a war against God himself. The enemy has always sought to attack the divine promise , from Amalek in the wilderness, who ambushed the weakest, to our own day, when terrorists take innocent lives with unspeakable cruelty. Behind these attacks lies a continual attempt to erase the testimony that God chose Israel as a central part of His plan of redemption.

Every war against Israel, therefore, is a war against God , not because Israel is perfect or free from fault, but because the land, the lineage, and the Messiah are inseparably woven together in the plan of salvation. Whoever opposes that reality opposes the Creator himself. Whoever seeks to destroy Israel ultimately seeks to undermine the work of salvation that proceeds from Jerusalem and reaches the ends of the earth.

Jesus spoke in Matthew 25 about the day when all nations will be gathered before Him.On that day, there will be a separation between the sheep and the goats. The sheep represent those who aligned themselves with God’s purposes , those who recognized and supported what He established. The goats symbolize those who resisted his plan, rejecting His sovereign choice.

In this sense, Israel serves as a form of divine curation.Just as a curator selects, preserves, and authenticates what has value, God placed Israel as the sign of his election and the standard of his judgment. To support Israel is to agree with God’s way of writing history; to resist Israel is to resist God himself.

The war we see today in Israel is not merely a military conflict , it is fundamentally spiritual. And because it is spiritual, it manifests in the physical realm: what happens on earth reflects what is taking place in the heavenly regions.

The call that echoes to the Church, and to all who align themselves with God’s purpose , is clear: to recognize Israel’s centrality in the story of redemption,to intercede for its peace, and to understand that supporting Israel means supporting God’s redemptive plan for all humanity.

For the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob , is the same God who, in Yeshua, brought salvation to the world. To reject Israel is to reject the very root through which the blessing was extended to the nations.

The apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 11 that we were grafted into the olive tree of Israel. That means we are not substitutes but participants in the promises. Whoever rejects Israel rejects the very roots of faith. Whoever honors Israel honors the God who, in his mercy, reached us through Yeshua.

We live in difficult days, when truth is distorted and many call evil good and good evil. But the Bible assures us that God is faithful, and that at the end of history the nations will be judged according to their attitude toward his people and his land.

It is up to the Church not to be intimidated, not to be deceived by worldly narratives, but to stand firm in prayer, intercession, and proclamation of the truth.

The war is real , but the victory is already assured. The God of Israel is the Lord of history, and nothing can thwart his plan.

Our task is to stand on the right side:on God’s side, on the side of his Word, on the side of Israel. Because in the end, to support Israel is to support the plan of redemption that embraces us all.
